 Chris Penney
Project Manager
Chris Penney graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
With CIG, his duties include oversight and management of real estate and development construction projects.
Prior to joining CIG, Chris was a Project Manager for a Construction Management firm in Vail, Colorado. As Project Manager, Chris was responsible for project control systems from project conception to closeout. Chris specialized in Owner's Budget development and management, Master Project Schedule development and management, consultant procurement and management, Contractor pre-qualification, bid analysis, award recommendation and management, contract administration, FF&E (Fixtures, Furnishings, and Equipment) coordination and procurement, owner start-up and move-in coordination, warranty follow-up, and management of preventative maintenance projects.
As a young professional, Chris has established himself in the construction industry. He is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), through which he has received certification in "Construction Document Technologies" and "Construction Contract Administration." Chris was part of a presentation team that presented construction topics to a national audience at the Association of School Business Officials, and to the Colorado chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services.
He has cultivated and demonstrated leadership skills starting with the Boy Scouts of America culminating in the rank of Eagle. He continued to be a leader as the Captain of his High School Varsity swim team, as an officer in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity, graduated from the SAE National Leadership School, and he continues to lead the complex teams of professionals required to construct a successful project.
